Fashion 2009 (Cycle never stops)
Fashion is not consistent. It always changes from time to time. The problem is that it also always returns to the past. SO it’s like a circle. What looks old fashioned today will be so fashionable in the future. What is fashionable today will soon be old fashioned. So trends follow inconsistency. What happened with trend in Paris lately.
Paris Fashion Week displayed many common trends between designers. One of the many trends was that the leg o’mutton sleeve is back on and only God knows why. It was not that there were many different pieces in one collection with this sleeve but it is in one piece here and there and it startled me I must say. Trend come back to the 18th and 19th centuries. Not to be mistaken but these collections were outstanding other than the throwback sleeve but what really stood out in every collection without fail were the shoes. They were all so perfectly picked and a lot of thought was put into each pair. The shoes alone could change the complete look of each outfit worn by the average woman. Definitely accent pieces. Louis Vuitton had outstanding shoes to match the collection, but the shoes alone could have walked own the runway.
It’s hard to choose one collection that grabbed heart as many pieces were to die for but overall collection people immediately fell in love with Stella McCartney’s. She is always good but this time people just loved it. It was tailored beautifully but showed enough skin. She had a pair of shorts with a tuxedo top that sold spectators. The collection was very body fitting to show off the women’s figure. The collection was in light, nude colors which normally push viewers a little away as they prefer vibrance more times than one, but it was perfect, it was subtle but beautiful and a collection any girl would love to wear. Bravo!
There are many new trends to enjoy, some spectacular and some that should have stayed in the back of the closet but as Albert Elbaz said, “Fashion has to bring a dream. Fashion has to make people happy.” So go out and try new trends, feel good and live/love the fashion.
Again trends will always change, never consistent. But they will come back to the previous times and trends. So keep your old fashions for your future.
